Rescue of the Month

August 2011 ~ Meet Buffy

BuffyGender: Female

Age: 13 years

Location: Denver, Colorado

Rescue Group: Golden Retriever Freedom Rescue (GRFR)

Out of State Adoptions: No

Bio: Buffy is a purebred golden retriever.  She is quite a wonderful girl!  GRFR was told that Buffy was surrendered because her people no longer have a yard.  She is 13, has lady-like house manners, good health, and she is playful and sweet as can be.

BuffyBuffy enjoys other dogs and walks nicely on leash with you.  She is a little unsure of stairs and prefers carpeted to hardwood floors.  Like many Goldens, Buffy is fearful of thunder, so you may want to look into a Thunder-shirt for her; many GRFR dogs find them very soothing when storms roll in.  "Wow, thank you.  I feel fine now!"

If you are looking for a furry companion who will bring you the most special love there is -- the love of an older Golden -- apply today. We'll let Buffy know, and our volunteers will be in touch.  She'll show you her favorite toy and have her leash ready for your first walk together when you meet.
