Rescue Group: Iowa Golden Retriever Rescue, Inc. (IGRR)
Out of State Adoptions: Yes, in some cases.
Bio: My name is Nash and I am a golden who came out of a commercial breeding facility this past spring. When I first arrived at my foster family's home, I was very frightened and did not want to be in any kind of confinement, whether it was a wire crate, the inside of their home or even a fenced yard! All that has changed as I learned the way a real golden wants and needs to be treated!
With lots of love, patience and a bit of anti-anxiety medication, I have blossomed into a wonderful family companion who loves lounging on the couch, snuggling in a large king-sized bed and frolicking with my other golden buddies in a large fenced yard. I never knew life could be so good! I still have a tendency to be nervous during thunderstorms.
I enjoy a good rubdown from my mom, and my dad likes to drape his arm across my shoulders. I really like that. As you can see from my pictures, I've had a bit of a hard life early on, but my mom says I am a happy, happy boy who deserves great things. Could you be the family that I'm looking for?
I am great with other dogs and have been introduced to children. I like them all!
If you have room in your home for a great senior golden, I would love to meet you!
