Bio: Hi my name is Lexie. I’m a Golden/Vizsla cross. Since designer dogs are all the rage right now, you can tell people I’m a Vizolden. Or I’m a Scottish Retriever with some Hungarian on my dad’s side. As you can tell I do not have the typical look of a Golden, but my feathery tail and red gold color gives me away. One of the added advantages of my sleeker coat is it’s low maintenance and I don’t shed a lot. The greatest thing about me is I come with all the best traits from both breeds. I’m people oriented, attentive, loyal, and eager to learn.

LexieYou may be asking yourself, with good looks and a fantastic personality, what else could I have to offer?  Well, I can promise you that I will help you keep on track with your fitness goals. Walks are my thing, and I’m always eager to get outside. I’m currently being walked with a gentle leader halter which is working great. I also need sufficient time in the backyard to make sure the squirrels and rabbits know who’s boss and to maintain the perimeter. Exercise is my energy release and I love it.

At my current foster home I’m living with 3 dogs and 3 cats. My foster brother Gozer and I love to wrestle and we’re told frequently to “GO OUTSIDE!” I’m also working hard on learning my manners such as sitting and not jumping. Did I not mention that I am also super intelligent and can learn anything if you have treats?

Since I’m a younger dog, my exuberance can bubble over when I’m excited. This is getting much better with training, but I would feel more comfortable in a home that doesn’t have small children who could be knocked over..

I personally think I would make a great addition to your family. In fact, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without me. (P.S. I’m still working on that humble thing.)
