Bio: Sandy is a sweet Golden Retriever mix who has spent all her life on a chain in her previous owner's backyard. Angels Among Us was notified that her owners were tired of her and were "going to shoot her" if someone didn't take her. Her foster mom went to get her and her life immediately changed. Sandy smelled so bad that it was impossible to think that she had ever been bathed, however, she realized quickly how wonderful it felt to be clean. She would have stood there all day being scrubbed if she had had her way.

SandySurprisingly, her house manners are very good. She waits to go outside to potty. She does have a habit of "rearranging" things but doesn't chew. Sandy is crated when her foster mom isn't home just to keep her out of trouble. She gets along beautifully with her canine foster sisters and brother (and he's kind of crotchety!). She is great around kids. Sandy likes to actively play outside but is calm when in the house. She needs work on walking nicely on leash but is learning quickly. Sandy would like a home with a fence so she can run and play without being in danger from cars as she doesn't have "street smarts" after being chained. If you have room in your home and your heart for a wonderful golden girl please consider Sandy.
